AHA!

I was just reading in Mt where Jesus said that whoever keeps these commandments and teaches them will be great in the Kingdom, He meant the Mosaic Law! I had been thinking that as a Christian I can choose whether or not to keep them. Well, what's that about graven images....hmmmmm

The Easter Project, at long last

This set is most like the account in Matthew.

It took us awhile to design and make it.

For years we have been wondering why there are commercial Nativity Scenes but few if any Resurrection Scenes.

YES!

Whoo hoo! How 'bout that space shuttle!?

I'm reading in Ezekial. Dem bones is good, but there's a bunch in there that is not happy. I'm looking forward to the NT.

However, I've been known to be unhappy all through the book of John because I knew that Judas was going to do it again. There is a definately happy ending , though.

"Dem bones, dem bones, dem dry bones..."

Steph won!

Steph of HonorCrownedCrafts.etsy.com won the contest in the post below.

I numbered all 10 answers and asked Mr. P (Who is blind and therefore couldn't cheat on this, but he doesn't cheat anyway) to pick a number between 1 and 10. He said the number corresponding to Steph's answer.

I appreciated all who answered and enjoyed everyone of them.

So, I skipped King David because I've misplaced a couple of tapes from my KJV audio Bible, and took up again in 1Kings1. I'll listen to the tapes when I run across them. There is an awful lot of smiting going on.

When, oh when, will people learn to stop worshiping false gods and killing their own children (see references to molech). My false god seems to be food. and pride and... serotonin? That's the "happiness"hormone. Eating carbs stimulates it.

So, congrats to Steph and forgive my tedious confessions.

God bless us, every one.♥P

I'm now into Judges, and have read about Deborah. Deteuronomy put me to sleep, I fear. Maybe I was just sleepy.

I'm meeting many fine people on the social network sights. It's lovely. I just haven't figured it all out yet. :(

God bless us, every one.

The Book

To keep a record of my reading, I'm in Deuteronomy.

In Numbers, I was again amazed, not to say amused, that God would tell Moses to anoint the priest' right ear (head, in another place) right thumb, and right big toe. I finally got around to asking Mr. P about it. He knows a lot more about the Bible than I do.

It's to anoint what they thought, what they did, and how they walked.

Lord God, anoint my head, my right thumb, and my right toe.

God bless us, every one.

The BOOK

I made it through Genesis and in Exodus Moses has conversed with the burning bush. What wonderful physics is associated with the one and only I AM.

Resolved...

Recently a youngish person asked how to go about reading the Bible. I replied that some like to start with the Book of John, but it didn't matter where one starts. Just read it all, and when you finish, do it over again.

I've recently been quite disappointed with the quality of books available to us on tape, and the answer to that, of course, is to read The Book. It's entertaining, uplifting, thought-provoking, and a good idea.

I'm convicted, now, thinking of my answer to that question. When I asked a gym buddy how people in her denomination deal with adversity, she replied, "They stick their nose in The Book."

It was a tiny awl.

From the top, Patti's right ear, Patti's left ear, Pete's left ear, Pete's right ear.

The reason is in Ex. 21:2-6.

First time to ever see my nose in profile. I always thought I had a Roman nose. It seems that instead, I have a Jewish nose(I hope).

The earrings were made by Kathryn Reichert of etsy.com.
