Love

I'm a little late to post for Valentine's Day, but I think that , being the recipient of so much love, I need to acknowledge that.

I owe it all to my Heavenly Father. I suggest reading the Song of Solomon. It can be read as a love song between a man and a woman but is also a metaphor for the love of Christ for His Bride the church. All of us are waiting for the marriage feast.

In my 20's I wrote a poem with the line,"Those of us who have never quite been loved..." Now I know better. Even then I was passionately loved.

May you be aware of the love given to you.

More Blessed Assurance

This is a trio from Australia, which reminds me to pray for the victims of the fires there.

Did you know that Fanny Crosby, who wrote the words to "Blessed Assurance" was blind? She wrote a LOT of poems.

Doubts and Blessed Assurance

Last night I was assailed with doubts. What if Jesus said to me, "I never knew you."

J Vernon McGee and Mr. P are both strong teachers of eternal security, but...

This hymn helped.

369. Blessed Assurance

Text: Fanny J. Crosby, 1820-1915
Music: Phoebe P. Knapp, 1839-1908
Tune: ASSURANCE, Meter: 9 10.9 9 with Refrain

1. Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
O what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
born of his Spirit, washed in his blood.
Refrain:
This is my story, this is my song,
praising my Savior all the day long;
this is my story, this is my song,
praising my Savior all the day long.

2. Perfect submission, perfect delight,
visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
angels descending bring from above
echoes of mercy, whispers of love.
(Refrain)

3. Perfect submission, all is at rest;
I in my Savior am happy and blest,
watching and waiting, looking above,
filled with his goodness, lost in his love.
(Refrain)

Forbes Magazine Article re CPSIA

As often happens, my link doesn't work, but you can copy the above url and paste to your browser.

The year's postponement for certification means that P and P are back in the wooden toy business, with perhaps some design changes. I sold the last 23 of them for a large discount, thinking I couldn't sell them after Feb 10. Maybe I need to make a Recession Reduction Sale on the new ones.
